The Team - Equines & Humans

All of our Ponies and Horses  have been chosen for their exceptional temperaments. They really enjoy human contact, making for a fun, safe & positive equine experience!

Our Staff and Ponies are all in uniform to add that special touch to the day and some staff wear their Sugargum Farm Equestrian Vaulters uniform if they are a vaulter, however, all staff are experienced "horsey" people who have, or do attend  Vaulting, Pony Club, or Adult Riders and most own their own horse.

They are very patient and fantastic with the children ensuring a memorable and fun time is had by all and they just love answering all the questions parents and children throw at them!

Buffy D.O.B 2005 - 8.0hh

Buffy is our Minature Pony x Shetland mare. Chocolate in colour.  She loves the children and is great for the very young riders.

When our youngest daughter turned 3 in January 2009 Buffy became her very own pony.Buffy looked stunning with lots of red ribbons in her plaites and braided tail and our daughter just didn't want to stop riding her that evening.

Gypsy D.O.B 1993 - 10.1hh

Gypsy is Shetland mare who also loves attention like her best friends. Gypsy has been  both our older childrens pony until they outgrew her. Gysp has attended many Pony Club Events and the Melbourne Pet Expo 2008.

Gypsy is also our very special Fantasy Party Pony. Children and parents are just amazed, and she just loves showing off her striking "Mane & Tail Do's".

Magnum D.O.B. 1981   - 12.0hh

Mr. Magnum is a well educated bay welsh mountain pony gelding, who is also our 8YO daughters very special pony that takes her to Pony Club each month. Together they love Jumping the best and also trail riding with Mum on her Pony.

Shiney - 12.2hh D.O.B. 1982

Shiney a Sangare (yellow bay) welsh mountain pony  mare who is Steph's fun riding Pony. Yes mum rides too and loves the ponies these days as they are easier to get on and off. Together they love trail riding the best.

Jupiter D.O.B 2001 - 14.3hh

Jupiter is a beautiful black Clydesdale x Quarter horse gelding who is our eldest daughters horse and Pony Club mount. He is a real sweetie  that also doubles as one of our amazing Vaulting Horses!  He is fabulous for our inters practising their skills at canter.

Jupiter has been in many a movie and television, nothing phases him, he is a real assest to our SGF Vaulters and our Vaulting programme.

Cosmo  D.O.B. 1998 - 15.2hh

Cosmo is our Amazing Vaulting Horse and Steph's big riding mount. Cosmo, a Black & White  registeresd Clydeslale Cross Performance Sport Horse,  has been part of Melbourne Fashion Show 2006, the Royal Melbourne Show 2008 and Equitana 2008 showcasing Equestrian Vaulting.

Cosmo is just a joy to own and share with kids in our recreational Vaulting Sessions. He just loves the children and they love him to bits back. He really enjoys his job and carries them so safely.

Galaxy D.O.B. 2006 - 15.2hh

Galaxy is a Clydesdale X Stock horse who is our rising Vaulting  Star! Standing at already 15.2 hh at the age of only 3.

He sure will be a big boy once he finishes growing into his chest and legs. Newly broken in, he is now in training for Vaulting, loves a trail ride out and attending Pony Club with one of our senior members.
